Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to sell, deliver, install and support your products. We never sell your information.

What we collect

• When you order or enquire: your name, mobile number, delivery address and pincode, email if you give one, and what you ordered or asked about.
• For warranty: the product serial number, installation date and, for vehicle batteries, the vehicle registration number.
• Payments: the amount and UPI reference (UTR) you share. We never see or store your UPI PIN, card or bank login.
• Location: only if you tap "Use my current location". It is used once to find your pincode and is not stored; only the pincode is remembered on your own device.
• Photos: our staff may photograph the installed product, its serial label and the old battery, as proof of delivery and for warranty claims. These are kept privately and never published.
• Website security: to stop fake orders we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address (not the address itself) for 2 days.
• Analytics: Google Analytics counts page visits using cookies, to show us which pages help customers. It doesn't receive your name or phone number.

How we use it

• To confirm, deliver, install and bill your order, and to send order updates on WhatsApp.
• To handle warranty claims with the brand (they receive the product, serial number, bill and your contact details).
• To keep accounts and GST records as the law requires.
• To answer your enquiries. We send offers only if you ask for them.

Who can see it

• Our own team, each with their own login, and only for their work.
• The brand, for warranty claims, and our delivery staff, for your address.
• Our service providers, under their privacy terms: Supabase (secure database, hosted in Mumbai), Vercel (website hosting), Google (analytics) and Meta (WhatsApp messages).
• Government authorities, only when the law requires.

How long we keep it

Order, bill and warranty records are kept for as long as the warranty lasts and tax laws require. Enquiries that didn't lead to an order are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see, correct or delete your information (except records we must keep by law), and withdraw consent for messages. Email info@sathvikapower.com or WhatsApp us; we reply within 7 days.

Cookies and your device

Your cart and checked pincode are saved in your own browser so they are there when you come back. Google Analytics uses cookies; you can block them in your browser settings and the shop still works.
